ROBO Token (Robo Token)
Summary
ROBO is the utility and governance token for Fabric Foundation, a non-profit building infrastructure for the robot economy. The token launched in early 2026 as the first "Titan" launch via Virtuals Protocol, raising $22M at $400M FDV from VCs including Pantera Capital and Coinbase Ventures.[1]
ROBO functions as network fees for robot payments/identity, coordination units for robot hardware financing, ecosystem entry requirements for developers, and governance for protocol policies.[2] The token is deployed as a LayerZero OFT (Omnichain Fungible Token) on Base (primary) and BSC.
Token Metrics:
- Base Supply: 35.78M ROBO (~$700K market cap)
- BSC Supply: 196.66M ROBO (~$3.8M market cap)
- Base Price: $0.02 (down 80% from Feb 2026 high of $0.10)
- Base Holders: 2,149
- BSC Holders: 9,776

Token Utility
ROBO is designed for four use cases within the Fabric ecosystem:
1. Network Fees: All robot transaction fees (payments, identity verification) paid in ROBO. Fabric initially deployed on Base, with plans to migrate to its own L1 chain.[2]
2. Robot Coordination: Users stake ROBO to participate in protocol-level robot hardware financing coordination, receiving priority task allocation during robots' initial operational phase. Protocol revenue is used to acquire ROBO, creating buy pressure.[2]
3. Ecosystem Entry: Developers and businesses building on the Fabric network must buy and stake ROBO, aligning interests with network success.[2]
4. Governance: ROBO holders participate in network governance including fee structures and operational policies.[2]
Fabric Foundation Context
Fabric Foundation positions itself as infrastructure for the "robot economy," enabling:
- Robot Financing: Revenue-based financing for robot OEMs through future revenue sales
- Agentic Payments: Machine-native payment/identity layer for autonomous robot transactions
- Data Flywheel: Real-world robot activity data engine for continuous improvement
- Constitutional Robotics: Open governance framework for robot safety and alignment[3][4]
The Foundation works closely with OpenMind (mentioned as @openmind_agi in their Twitter bio), which focuses on OM1 robot OS and hardware partnerships with Unitree and NVIDIA.[5][6]
Contracts
| Chain | Address | Type | Purpose |
|-------|---------|------|---------|
| Base | 0x407a5fb66cb1b3d50004f7091c08a27b42ba6d6f | LayerZero OFT | Primary ROBO token |
| BSC | 0x475cbf5919608e0c6af00e7bf87fab83bf3ef6e2 | LayerZero OFT | Cross-chain ROBO |
| Base | 0x1a44076050125825900e736c501f859c50fE728c | LayerZero Endpoint V2 | Cross-chain messaging (EID: 30184) |
The Base contract uses LayerZero's OFT standard for cross-chain transfers. Contract owner: 0x1E63183FB2123f0674582A5a2D251E72de0Bd8bf (empty wallet, likely multisig or admin).
Holder Distribution
Top holder on Base is 0xbaed383ede0e5d9d72430661f3285daa77e9439f (7.58M ROBO, 21% of supply), a high-follower wallet (83 followers on Interface/Zora) holding $87M across 1,254 positions.[7] This appears to be a whale/treasury wallet rather than a liquidity pool or vesting contract.
Second holder 0x5f59d44c95659e02521c0cc8251593a50d211ffd (1.07M ROBO, 3% of supply) is a contract, likely a liquidity pool (unverified).
Launch & Listings
- Launch Date: Early 2026 (Feb-Mar timeframe based on chart data)
- Launch Method: Virtuals Protocol "Titan" launch (first token in series)[1]
- Funding: $22M raised at $400M FDV from Pantera Capital, Coinbase Ventures[1]
- Exchange Listings: Binance (Seed Tag), OKX, Bybit, Bitkub (noted around April 9, 2026)[1]
- Price History: Launched around Feb 2026, peaked at $0.10 on Feb 27, down 80% to current $0.02
Notes
- Token launch predates Fabric Foundation's announced blog post date (Feb 24, 2026), suggesting launch occurred in early-to-mid February 2026
- Despite positioning as "robot economy infrastructure," token has declined 80% from ATH with relatively low holder count (2,149 on Base)
- Large concentration in top wallet (21% to single address) represents centralization risk
- Cross-chain deployment suggests ambition for multi-chain presence, though Base remains primary
- Foundation claims future migration to own L1 chain, but no technical timeline provided
- Revenue model claims protocol will buy ROBO from open market, creating "persistent buy pressure" - mechanism details unclear
- Associated entity OpenMind (@openmind_agi) appears to be the product/technical arm while Fabric Foundation is governance layer
